There’s something about a classic black and white ensemble that makes me feel boss! As Coco Chanel said- "..black has it all. White too.... It is the perfect harmony." She couldn't have spoken farthest from the truth. The combination is so simple, yet so sophisticated and striking.

This particular outfit came about as a result of a very purposeful and fulfilling invitation to speak alongside my husband for the first time ON my birthday, this past January! We were invited to speak at the City of Pompano Beach’s annual MLK Youth Summit. For the past 3 years my husband and his team at The L.I.F.E. Group have been invited to host and speak to a group of high schoolers from around Broward county to empower them to remember MLK’s legacy and dream. This year, I was invited to speak alongside my husband as well. This was such an honor and I had the wonderful opportunity to encourage and connect with some amazing young adults who are doing extraordinary things in their community.

I spoke about believing in your own dream and staying in your lane. I shared my personal story of overcoming the obstacles of Sickle Cell Anemia, Alopecia, and low self esteem and how I used those obstacles to launch me into my purpose. I admonished them to own their unique abilities, their journeys and to stay true to to that journey.

I’ve never EVER taken my presentation lightly. I believe in showing up the way I want to be remembered. I preach this to my clients consistently. There’s something about your overall presentation- the way you dress yourself, your choice of makeup, the way you speak and even the way you walk- that tells people who you are and what you’re about even before you introduce yourself.
