Boost Your Confidence: Beauty & Fashion Edition


I talk a lot about confidence here and in general because I truly believe it’s one of the most necessary keys to living a fulfilling life. Today, I’m going to talk about confidence from a different perspective. . If you’ve known me, listened to me on the radio or have been reading this blog for any amount of time, you know I love beauty and fashion. I love how it’s one of the easiest ways to boost your confidence.


As you know, it takes time to work through establishing real confidence and living your life from that source, but taking a few minutes to consider YOU and do something to boost your confidence will go a long way to get you closer to that ultimate goal of living an abundantly confident life. So here’s a few fashion & beauty confidence boosters:


  1. Dress for success- wear comfortable clothes- One of the easiest ways to boost your self-confidence is to wear comfortable clothes. When what you're wearing feels good, it's not too tight or it's not itchy..... it makes you feel better about yourself too.

  2. Power Colors: Choosing to wear power colors can make you feel more powerful and confident too. Red, yellow, and orange have proven to be some of the best power colors that have been linked to higher levels of confidence in both men and women. However, any color that makes you feel good about yourself will work to boost your self-esteem. If other people don’t like it, that’s a "them problem"!

  3. Clothes that fit: Wearing clothes that fit properly can also help boost your self-esteem and self-confidence. If you're going through changes in your body shape, try to go the extra mile for YOU and find clothes that fit well. Wearing baggy clothing or clothes that are not flattering will have the opposite effect. 

  4. Using beauty, self care and wellness as a confidence booster: self care is a buzz word and we’ve talked about several ways to indulge in self care before, but beyond getting regular massages, facials, and mani/pedis, what is real self-care? I would define self-care as being aware of your needs and taking care of them. Not neglecting you! Taking care of SELF. It is a mind-altering experience to be self-aware and know what you need emotionally, spiritually and physically. By honoring that, you are honoring yourself therefore better able to take care of the people around you.

  5. Apart of self care is also making sure you look good. Beauty is included in how we take care of ourselves. Beauty is also a trending topic but it’s not a simple term. It has various meanings and concepts. It's an expression of one’s mind, body, and soul. The beauty that comes from within can be reflected in your personality and outlook on life.


Ultimately, we are capable of so much more than we realize. We have the potential to become true leaders and game-changers in our communities and within the world at large. It's up to us to do the work to gain and maintain confidence in what God has given us. It's up to us to be aware of what it takes to walk in complete confidence so that we can be, do and become all that were called to! #GetYourGlambitionUp family! I hope this helped you!
