6 Ways To Overcome Excuses

This morning I woke up with an extreme urge to DO! I was excited and felt energized to get up and go! Immediately I began to think of all the things I needed/ wanted to DO, but my thoughts began to flow from motivating thoughts to get those things done to excuses of why I couldn’t possibly accomplish all that DOING today. I started thinking of the pain I was currently experiencing, the fatigue, lack of time, what the kids had to do and every other excuse in the world. ... And that my friends is how we fall into the trap of excuses.

👉🏽This is exactly the cycle of how the enemy keeps us down and suppresses our progression. 👈🏽 Once I recognized what was happening I stopped, took a deep breath, began to pray and command my thoughts, my body, mind, actions and my day.

During that prayer I was empowered, reminded and challenged to share this experience and a few tips with you to overcome the obstacles and dead the excuses:

  1. Identify the root cause: Try to understand why you're making excuses. Is it fear, lack of motivation or something else? Once you've identified the cause, it will be easier to address it. It all comes from the enemy who’s job is to suppress our progress.

  2. Set realistic goals: Break down your goals into smaller, achievable ones. This way, you'll be less likely to make excuses and more likely to stay on track.

  3. Create a plan: Develop a plan of action that outlines the steps you need to take to achieve your goals. This will help you stay focused and motivated.

  4. Find accountability: Share your goals with someone you trust and ask them to hold you accountable. This can help you stay committed and motivated.

  5. Command your day! Command your thoughts, your actions, everything! You have the power to command every aspect of your life to come into alignment with what God has already purposed you to do.

  6. Stay positive: Believe in yourself and your ability to overcome obstacles. Focus on the progress you've made rather than the setbacks. A positive attitude can help you stay motivated and overcome excuses.

Often times we don’t catch that the enemy creeps into our minds and does everything possible to deter us from what we’re supposed to accomplish... from PURPOSE, but I encourage you today to RECOGNIZE what that negativity is and

❌CANCEL IT IMMEDIATELY!❌

Excuses don’t get results and it’s ultimately up to us to get out of our heads, think beyond the limitations we’ve put on ourselves and get ish done! HANDLE YOUR BUSINESS, people!
